Timeframes and chart basics

Switch timeframes, follow the tape, and read the execution markers.

Timeframes

Click the timeframe button (defaults to 1m) to switch between 10s, 1m, 3m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 4h and 1D. Switching never drops the session.

Follow the tape

auto (bottom-right) keeps the latest candle in view as the tape plays. Scroll or drag the chart and auto-follow releases; click auto to re-engage.
log toggles a logarithmic price scale — useful on names that double.

Execution markers

Your fills are drawn on the chart: a green arrow below the bar for buys, a red arrow above for sells. Click a marker to jump to that row in the Orders window.

Price basis

The chart is built from trade prints. On quote-only markets (forex, metals) it’s built from the mid — and the desk still never fills you at the mid.

More than one chart

Open another Chart from the Window Catalog. Each chart keeps its own timeframe and indicators, and the crosshair is synced across all of them.
